A quick list of things to do with a family in the Triangle:
Fertility and infertility are indeed facts of life. While it may not seem like an obvious parallel allow me to tap into my inner philosopher; In many ways fertility and infertility are similar to joys and pains associated with being single and married. Some people are happy in their current situations, for others, the grass is much greener on the other side.
For example in my family, if the men look too long at their women, you can often expect to have a baby shower invitation in about 6 months. For others, countless trips to specialist are a part of the challenging journey to becoming a parent. The guys at DadLabs (Media content for ‘SuperDads’) recently produced a great piece on Male Fertility, that will have educate male viewers as to how to create, “the highest sperm counts on the block.“ Enjoy these insights into increasing male fertility.
If you have any tips for enhancing male fertility be sure to leave your comments for the TriangleJr readers.
Making the Right Decision
Triangle Child Care resources vary greatly from zip code to zip code.
One of the most important decisions you will ever make as a parent is choosing quality child care for your child. Every child is special and unique and deserves the best start possible. Studies reveal that a high quality child care program will help prepare a child for school readiness by increasing their chances to succeed. Research also indicates that employers benefit when their employees’ children are in quality child care arrangements because parents are more secure and stable in their work environment. This makes parents more productive; thus, making a win-win situation for everyone: parents, children and employers.
Part of making the right decision is understanding the difference between a three component license and the revised two component license. As you visit child care facilities, you may notice a difference among their licenses. Through 2008 some facilities will have a license that measures two components and other facilities will have a license that measures three components. This difference simply indicates that programs are in different stages of transitioning to the revised two-component license. The two component license is required of any program initially licensed after January 1, 2007 and is required of all facilities by 2008. Click on the “star rating license” a tab above to get more information.
