The Raleigh Marbles Kids Museum is a non-profit organization in the Moore Square Historic district in North Carolina. The museum has a motto whereby it states that it will inspire the imagination of people through adventure, learning and methods of delivery. There’s ample scope to indulge in adventure as well as share life like IMAX experiences. Merging 2 museums – the Playspace and Exploris – in 2007, created the Raleigh Marbles Kids Museum. The Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh is a fun place where kids aged between 0 and 12 years can learn and explore along with their family members, in 4 family galleries and 2 outdoor spaces.
The objective of the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh is to spur your imagination through discovery. By doing so, you will learn all about the cultures of the world through interactive sessions. There is also a vast number of exciting and engaging sessions that are conducted at the Around Town Gallery. Here, the kids will have the opportunity to take on multiple roles like that of a farmer feeding and rearing animals to act as a Broadway performer before an audience with costumes and props. Underwater crawling area
The Splash Gallery at the museum is an area where kids can learn through playing, It contains a couple of large water towers where tables filled with toys can be flooded with water! At the Liquid Art Lab, kids can create as well as try their talents with liquids and paint. The Waves have dark coves where stars are cleverly projected on the ceiling. At the Raleigh Marbles Kids Museum there is also a floor that has a variety of soft toys such as fish pillows for encouraging the exploratory nature of the kids who visit.
The Raleigh Marbles Kids Museum also has another great feature; a pirate ship that is complete with pirates engaged in numerous fun activities. This is a gallery that attracts kids and adults alike. At the Corner Store, you’ll find a museum gift shop, which is a perfect place to stop at before your departure. The gift shop is filled with educational artifacts for kids of all age groups from books and toys to CDs, shirts and more. So make sure you treat your child to some of these great items!
Admission to the Marbles Kids Museum at Raleigh is at $5. The museum is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday between 9 am and 5 pm. On Sundays, the hours of operation are from 12 noon to 5pm.
